Painting I did for a friend’s surprise b-day party yesterday. I didn’t have time to properly photograph it so here’s an iphone photo of it on her wall (which conveniently matches her party horn).

OK let’s try this again. Evidently it’s really easy to export Flash files as animated gifs.
Work in progress! I need to update my flash reel so I animated the 4th page of that thing I’m working on. The bubbles in the last part are just roughed in; I had to send some stuff out today but hopefully I’ll finish it and get started on the rest of those pages.
Oh yeah, the “RING” doesn’t really read the way I animated it but OH WELL.
I wasn’t going to post this until I finished page 6, but then I realized page 6 is going to take forever (and I think I’m redesigning a character?) and I need to do a lot of thumbnailing. :/
UHHHH so I’m “on hiatus” (unemployed) at the moment (thanks for the support, folks!), so now that I have all this glorious freetime while waiting for projects to ramp up, I figured I do this comic experiment? Obvious panel restriction, it resets to 1 at page 6 (this part’s basically a day dream). Trying a lot of things I’m not used to so let’s see how this goes?

Sorry to be plugging myself so much; I’m doing the unemployment thing and EDD is over 20 days late on sending my continued claim form;;; For the record: when I use “;;;” that is my internet shorthand for sweat and tears.
My work in the animation (stop-motion, specifically) industry so it’s all very project based, so I finished a project and am trying to schedule some test; this is pretty normal. But since EDD is so behind their shit I’m starting to freak a little, sorry!
The problem with digital art is color possibilities are endless and my brain fizzes out when its given options. :C
First page of a lame 15 page comic experiment I’ve had in my head for the past year. Hopefully I don’t make myself draw anymore scales and the rest won’t take as long.

They’re already matted and framed (Ikea frames)! I just set up a Storenvy site to help out between jobs (my work is project based, so it goes). I don’t have prints but I always seem to have original art! One of my goals for 2013 is to start making prints, so expect something in the future.

Still proud of the top one even though it’s from 2009. I need to apply myself more;;; Marker and colored pencil, the other 2 are digital.
Things from my 2nd year film that was terrible and something of a traumatic experience (failure is traumatic). The story & tone were too convoluted for the time limit, settled with a bad design for the captain, etc. I’ll recycle it later.
TRUE STORY: The water effects I animated for this film lead to me animating on my last job.
